Dual-key Ed25519, the same construction as Ethereum's ERC-5564, built on Nimiq's existing primitives. The announcement rides the standard transaction data field, so there is no new transaction type and no fork.
It hides which addresses are yours, not how much or from whom. This is the Ethereum stealth-address class, receiver-unlinkability, not Monero or Zcash.
